[ocn] Athlete of the Month – July 2016

July – Kristin Evans

Kristin graduated her on-ramp in November of 2015. She has only been with [ocn] for 7 months but in that time she became one of the family. Kristin comes with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Early on she asked if people ever do two a day workouts. She asked this because she was not accustomed to the intensity and constantly varied WODs that CrossFit provides. So when she started she would workout at home in the morning and then at the gym at night for a modified WOD. But once she was able to start doing the WODs as prescribed, those extra workouts weren’t nearly as easy or as necessary. When she started at [ocn], Kristin was a novice when it came to olympic lifting, but was up for the challenge. Early on she was throwing up some impressive numbers with her front and back squats, her money lifts. She is easy to coach and sets goals for herself such improving her overhead squats and fine-tuning her cleans. Kristin is all go when it comes to any WOD, and look out if there are lots of body weight movements or running. Like many of us, Kristin talks a lot about CrossFit, so it wasn’t a big surprise when her employer wanted to recognize her for her hard work on the job by awarding her a one-year unlimited membership to [ocn]. Kristin you are a such a great addition to [ocn] we are lucky to have you.
